Where to eat, stay, shop and source vintage and antique interiors in Bordeaux.
All the intel from my favourite favourite city in the world plus where to day-trip to.
My Dad has lived in and around Bordeaux for the last 13 or so years and I’ve visited many many time since then. Other than being an incredibly beautiful city with it’s grand 19th century buildings stretched out along the Garonne river and being surrounded by some of the world’s most famous wine regions it has excellent shopping (from flea markets to Hermes), a bonkers amount of restaurants and bars and some of the best interiors vintage and antiques shopping. It’s a total vibe, I don’t know if ‘vibrant’ is a bit of a cliche but every inch of it is. I can’t rave about it more.
This is what I love to do there but quite frankly there’s still so much more I want to do. I’ll update this when I find new great things and please do comment if you feel like i’ve missed somewhere. It’s a perfect long weekend with flights from Bham, Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester and London.
